Who We Are

Precision Abrasives for Demanding Industries

MS Eco Metalworks (MSD Metalworks) is a Romanian industrial manufacturer producing high-performance metal grits used in abrasive blasting and surface preparation across heavy industries in Europe and beyond.

Our manufacturing process uses a proprietary method currently under patent application, giving us a significant competitive edge through improved production efficiency and substantially reduced material waste compared to traditional methods.

From coarse heavy-duty blasting to micro-precision finishing, our 10 grit grades from G10 through G120 cover the full spectrum of industrial surface preparation needs.

Steel Grits Made Differently

Every ton of metal grit we produce starts not from virgin raw materials — but from recycled steel wire. This is the foundation of our entire manufacturing philosophy, and it is what separates MS Eco Metalworks from every other abrasive producer in the region.

Our proprietary production process was specifically engineered to work with recycled input material — eliminating the thermal treatment step that traditional manufacturers depend on. The result is a production method that is cleaner, more energy-efficient, and generates significantly less industrial waste than conventional abrasive manufacturing.

This is not a marketing position. It is how the process was designed from day one — with a patent application currently in progress. The ecological advantage is structural, not cosmetic.

Raw Material
100% Recycled Steel Wire

We source post-industrial steel wire — material that would otherwise be discarded — and transform it into high-performance abrasive grit. No virgin ore. No unnecessary extraction.

No Thermal Treatment
Our proprietary process eliminates the high-energy heating stage, cutting energy consumption and emissions at the source.
Lower Waste Output
Reduced material waste in production compared to traditional abrasive methods — by design, not as an afterthought.
Patent-Pending Process
Patent application in progress. Our proprietary method is uniquely designed for efficiency and cannot be replicated.
ESG-Ready Supply
Recycled inputs and clean production align with EU sustainability procurement requirements and ESG reporting standards.
"Choosing MS Eco Metalworks means choosing an abrasive supplier whose process is already aligned with where European industry is heading — less waste, lower emissions, traceable inputs."

Our Story

Built by Two Founders Who Think Long-Term

CM
Cernat Marco-Mihai
Co-Founder

At 22, Marco set out to build a scalable industrial manufacturing company from scratch — competing with established European abrasive manufacturers through genuine technological innovation.

He conceived the business model, developed the proprietary production process, and led the full commercial strategy — from investor documentation to the first client letter of intent, all before production began.

CS
Cumelschi Sergiu
Founder

Sergiu brings deep industrial and engineering expertise to the company — responsible for translating the proprietary production process into a fully operational factory, from equipment specification to quality control systems.

He owns the technical side of the business: factory setup, production infrastructure, ISO certification, and all engineering credibility with clients and industrial partners.

"We're not just making metal grits. We're building a company that lasts — one that takes a traditional industry and makes it smarter, cleaner, and more competitive."

— Cernat Marco-Mihai, Co-Founder
